Have a current Schengen, US, or UK visa? Now even you can get an instant Saudi e-visa!

We have good news for you if your US, UK, or Schengen visa is still in force. People with these visas, as well as those who are citizens of any country in Europe permanently, are entitled to apply for a quick e-visa, according to the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Tourism.

To apply for a visa, applicants can go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. The only restriction is that you must have travelled to the nation at least once since receiving your visa.

Everything you need to know about the new e-visa for Saudi Arabia

The first-degree relatives of all visa holders, including those who have permanent residence in the US, UK, or EU, are reportedly granted the same admission rights under this exception. Upon arrival at any port, they can also enter the Kingdom with a visa.
The Economic Times quotes the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Tourism as saying: "In order to complete the process of facilitating procedures and providing an integrated tourism experience; The Kingdom allows holders of visas of the United States, the European Union (Schengen), and the United Kingdom, and their residents, to issue a tourist visa electronically and immediately through the @KSAMOFA website."

According to a source in Al Arabiya, the introduction of this Saudi e-visa is a step towards the Kingdom's goal of having 100 million tourists yearly by 2030. Because of stunning tourist locations like AlUla, Riyadh, and Jeddah as well as the annual holy pilgrimage that Muslims over the world make to Mecca, Saudi Arabia has one of the fastest-growing tourism industries in the world as of 2019.

The Saudi Arabian government has already introduced e-visa services. It stated earlier in May that it has replaced the conventional visa stickers with QR codes for seven nations, including the UAE, Indonesia, India, Jordan, Egypt, the Philippines, and Bangladesh. However, despite the fact that visas have been extended so that people can visit famous sites, sources state that tourists are not permitted to undertake the Hajj or Umrah during the pilgrimage season using tourism visas.
