Spain warns UK passengers after banning a popular snack from flights

Travellers from Spain are advised that a common snack has been prohibited off aeroplanes. There are harsher regulations on what British nationals can bring into the country now that the UK has exited the EU.

Any animal products that fall into the categories of meat and dairy products are now included in the prohibition on some products.

According to the Sun, tourists who buy food at the airport and bring it into the nation are likely to become victims of this.

Therefore, if you intend to purchase anything like a gammon and cheese sandwich, make sure you consume it on the flight or dispose of it before arriving.

There are other things as well that might cause you problems. Fresh cream, another dairy product, is a component of cakes, and gelatin, an animal product, is used in the production of several desserts.

The same goes for English cheeses like Wensleydale and Cornish brie, as well as clotted cream fudge.

A jar of Bovril that contains gelatine is another odd food item that is prohibited, along with mince pies and Christmas puddings.

Baby milk is one dairy product that is still accepted. As long as it is unopened and in its original packaging, powdered infant formula is still permitted into Spain.

You cannot bring meat, milk, or anything containing them into EU countries, according to the UK Foreign Office.

There are several exceptions for medical reasons, such as the need for specific volumes of powdered infant milk, baby food, or pet food.
